It's been a while since I talked about nails and nail techniques, so as someone who loves to experiment with different nail art techniques, I was excited to try Revel Nails Dip Powders. But, like many new techniques, there was a learning curve involved in getting the hang of it.
Revel Nails Dip Powders
Dip powder lasts like acrylic nails but removes easily like a gel polish. Our nail dip powder provides long-lasting color with a lightweight, natural feel. It doesn't need a light to cure and won't weaken your nails when you wear it.
I first got a starter kit and two extra dips. It was quite hard to decide because they have various colours available. It's incredible!
Packaging:
The Revel Nails Dip Powders come in small jars with screw-on lids. The jars are sturdy and well-made, and the lids fit securely, which helps prevent spills and leaks. Each jar comes with enough powder to last you quite a lot of manicures.
Application:
The application process for the Revel Nails Dip Powders is fairly simple and straightforward. You'll need a few basic tools, such as a base coat, an activator, and a top coat, as well as a brush to remove the powders from nails.
- Start by prepping your nails: file, shape, and buff your nails to the desired length and shape.
- Apply a thin layer of Pro Base to one nail, making sure to avoid the cuticles and skin. Dip the nail into the dip powder at a 45-degree angle and tap off any excess powder.
- Apply a second layer of Pro Base to the same nail, and repeat the dipping process. Be sure to tap off any excess powder and use a brush to remove any remaining powder from the skin.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each nail.
- Once all nails have been dipped, use a brush to remove any remaining powder from the nails and skin.
- Apply a layer of Pro Activate to each nail, being sure to cover the entire nail surface.
- Allow the Pro Activate to dry for 2-3 minutes, or until it appears dry.
- Once the Pro Activate is dry, use a buffer to smooth out any bumps or lumps on the nail surface.
- Apply a thin layer of Pro Finish to each nail, being sure to cover the entire nail surface. Allow drying for 2-3 minutes.
- Repeat step 9 for a second layer of Pro Finish, if desired.
- Once the Pro Finish is completely dry, use a brush to remove any remaining powder from the nails and skin.
- Finally, apply a cuticle oil or hand cream to nourish and moisturize your hands and nails.
And that's it! With these simple steps, you can achieve a beautiful, long-lasting manicure with Revel Nails Dip Powders.
My first dip manicure took me more than 2 hours and it looked chubby. I loved it either way.
The next manicure took me less time, and now it takes me about 30 minutes to finish my full manicure with dip powders.

Later I realized that I can combine it with gel polish.
And so this manicure was created. The ring finger is dip powder, other nails are gel.

I am a fan of their limited editions. Because of them, my collection has now more than 50 shades. Oops.
Dip Flu:
It's important to note that some people may experience what is known as "dip flu" after using dip powders. This is a condition where the user may experience symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, and even fever-like symptoms after exposure to the harsh chemicals in the base and top coats.
While not everyone experiences dip flu, it's important to be aware of the potential risks associated with using dip powders. To minimize the risk of exposure to harsh chemicals, it's recommended that users take proper precautions, such as wearing gloves and a mask during the application process, and ensuring that the application area is well-ventilated.
It's worth noting that Revel Nails has taken steps to address the issue of "dip flu" by releasing a line of top and base coats that are specifically formulated to reduce the risk of experiencing flu-like symptoms after using dip powders.
Overall:
One of the things that impressed me about Revel Nails was their commitment to creating a product that is not only beautiful but also safe for users. After hearing about the potential risks associated with dip powders, I was relieved to learn that Revel Nails has developed a line of top and base coats that are specifically formulated to reduce the risk of "dip flu" symptoms.
