After using up the Thank You Farmer Cream I decided to try another light gel cream that promises extreme hydration and glowing skin.
Well, let's see how it worked for me.
BIOTHERM AQUASOURCE GEL MOISTURIZER
New Aquasource Gel Moisturizer is now infused with a legendary ingredient discovered in the French Pyrenees source: Aura Leaf, a medicinal plant with miraculous properties. Day after day, it replenishes skin’s natural moisture reserves, gorging skin with moisture to restore its natural ability to glow. Visibly glowing skin and 48H of intense regenerating hydration in one application. Even the most dehydrated skin and dullest complexions are visibly transformed.
HOW TO USE?
Use every morning and / or evening on cleansed and toned skin. Place one dose into the palm. Using both hands, smooth over the face in an outward pattern starting from the center. Finish with the neck. Avoid eye contour.
Everyday, millions of new fresh cells surface. Skin is replenished with regenerating hydration. Intensely moist and luminous for 48H. Even the driest, dullest complexions are healed in 10 days.
THE PACKAGING
The cream came packaged in a cardboard box which had a simplistic feel to it. It also came in a glass container which is a bit tricky as you must be careful not to drop it.
The design of the packaging looks a bit old school to me but it severs its job well. It also comes with double lids to keep your product fresh for a longer time.
THE GEL CREAM
The cream has a very strong citrusy scent (think about green limes and lime leaves).
The scent also lingers for some minutes after application. But luckily the scent didn't give me a headache and it was fresh enough to be pleasant.
The cream has a light gel consistency and because of that it quickly sinks into the skin.
I liked that it didn't break me out but instead it gave my skin a boost of hydration. I think that's practically everything that did for me. I mean, I don't think it's worth the high price (about 35€), but I think it is comparable to the Thank You Farmer Gel Cream when it comes to effect.
+ is lightweight
+ sinks into the skin quickly
+ is very hydrating
+ doesn't break my skin out
+ my skin loved it!
- boring packaging
- has an overwhelming scent
- is expensive
My skin enjoyed the cream and the extra hydration it came with it. But I do feel that it's very similar in effect and use to the Thank You Farmer Gel Cream. That means that if I can find a cheaper gel cream, I'd go for that. The effects were lovely and I think the most noticeable differences it would probably make for drier skin types. My skin is a combination and thus I only got the hydration boost from it. If I haven't found my Kikumatsamune hydrating toner I'd say it's a miracle product. But now that I know that my skin can get super hydrated from other cheaper products, I don't think it's a must. I mean, yes it does what it promises but it's not really worth the high price.
*I received the products from the PR of the company. My opinions are always honest.
