Finding the perfect teddy for a day/night occasion is quite a nightmare. Even more so when you're a plus size.
But Rosegal has us plus sized ladies covered. And today we're showing some teddies from their site and how to incorporate them in your daily style.
TEDDIES FOR ALL OCCASIONS
Because there was a time when we didn't know what a teddy was (except the plush toy) here's a short definition from Wikipedia:
A teddy, also called a camiknicker, is a garment which covers the torso and crotch in the one garment. It is a similar style of garment to a one-piece swimsuit or bodysuit, but is typically looser and more sheer.
Truth to be told, teddies were almost extinct as dresses came with undergarments sewn into them. But as dresses get sheerer again, it's time to bring them back!
We may have to thank the Kardashians for bringing back the Body briefer teddy which smooths and shapes the wearer's figure. These are handy to make your figure appear slimmer, your bust higher and your ass rounder.
If you're feeling braver but still don't want to show off your bra, why not try this wrapped tight teddy? You can wear it underneath a dress or even a camisole! You can find more about it here.
For the clubbing scene, the teddy above would be perfect. Pair it with high boots, a leather skirt and you're ready to go. If that's a bit too much, you can also add an interesting bra underneath.
If you're feeling more conservative but you still want to wear your teddy open to the world, then the one above would work for you. It is covered in lace and comes with an open back. Perfect for a night out!
If you still don't know why you should wear one, here are some ideas on how to:
- For sleeping. Comfy and simple!
- For bedroom fun. Those come with several styles, some with detachable garters.
- As a fashion statement. All can be used as such, but only one style was meant as such. These are meant to be worn without any top over them.
- For body shaping. Yess!
As we can see, teddies come in various styles and forms. I think I'll stick to the sleeping ones and probably some fashion ones.
