UPDATED Huge Skincare Routine

UPDATED Huge Skincare Routine

Because you loved my last post with my HUGE skincare routine I thought I'd do an updated version of it.

I love trying new skincare products, but I am always sad when I use up a product that I learned how to use in my routine and that works for me. With new products, there's always a risk that it won't be good for my skin or that there will be some sort of irritations.

UPDATED Huge Skincare Routine

Okay, these are all the items that replaced the products from my last post. Most of them are new, but there are some oldies that I am still using up. My skin is a combination of oily on the T-zone and normal/dry in other areas. It is also quite acne prone

The routine remains exactly the same as last time so I won't be saying much about it. I still have about 1/2 of each of the products left so I guess I'm good for another couple of months more.

The Day and Night Skincare Routine

UPDATED Huge Skincare Routine

My night and day routine remains the same with one extra small step for the daily routine which is sunscreen. I'm currently in between sunscreens and I'm testing a couple of more of them but I still swear by A'Pieu Pure Block. I just got a backup of it and will soon include it in my routine again.

Okay, let's break it down to what is what.

1st step: Elizavecca Hell Pore Water Up Peptide ECGF Mist

This is a peptide (special kind of amino acids that are part of the skin that have beneficial anti-aging effects) spray and it's made by a Korean brand named Elizavecca. I've talked about their products a while ago, like their famous Bubbly Mask or a hair product that made my curls silky smooth

It is supposed to be used before using a sheet mask but I also like to include it in my daily skincare routine as the first step. Why do I use it as the first step? Because products should be layered from the lighters (most watery) to the heaviest.

I can't say if it has a lot of visible effects, but that's because peptides work in the long run. It may take months or even years to make a difference. But the scent is light and the feeling after using it is lovely - my skin feels refreshed.

2nd step: Melvita Pulpe de Rose Plumping Radiance Duo

For the first time, Melvita Research has combined fruits of the wild rose with wild rose petals, rose oral water and rose hipoil to help smooth and plump the skin while also boosting radiance.
At first, I didn't think it had any effect on my skin, but with a regular use, I noticed that there is some extra glow to my skin that wasn't there before. I must say that it feels light on my skin and it sinks into it very quickly. Plus it has this lovely gentle rose scent that I love so much. I am very impressed with it even if I didn't expect much from it.

3rd step:  Delia 100% Hyaluronic acid

This is a polish brand that I ordered with my coworkers because it was inexpensive (3€ for 10ml) and because I like having an extra moisturizing step in my skincare routine that is usually hyaluronic acid. This product isn't anything extra special but it works for my skin and I need more of it in my life.

This one is pure, doesn't have any scent and comes with a handy pipette.

4th step: The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG

This light-textured formula contains an extremely high 5% concentration of caffeine, supplemented with highly-purified Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside (EGCG) from green tea leaves. Independent studies have shown that topical use of each of caffeine and EGCG can help reduce looks of puffiness and of dark circles in the eye contour. Additional studies have shown that caffeine can also reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Right after the hyaluronic acid, I step up my game with these eye-area drops. And since I've started using them regularly, I noticed that I don't look all that tired all the time. Plus my fine lines disappeared (must be because of the extra hydration).

5th step: Kozmetika Afrodita Ultra Moisturizing 24H Cream

After the hyaluronic acid and the undereye serum is applied I quickly apply my cream. This step is crucial after the hyaluronic acid because what it does it seal everything in. The hyaluronic acid pulls the moisture from the skin to the skin barrier and since we don't want that to evaporate, we have to seal it in.

I find this cream to do the job wonderfully, but it is quite heavily scented.

Other creams I use:

Both of them are meant for drier skin, but I do enjoy using them in the evening if I want a glowing skin the next morning.
The left product is a "serum" with hyaluronic acid that deceived me into purchase since I thought I was buying the real deal. It is heavily perfumed, but it does a good job as the last step.

The right product is a daily cream by Melvita which is lovely but mostly meant for dry skin. I can use it for my daily step if I know I will be working in a dry environment (like a room with an A/C running 24/h).

6th step: Oils and Sleeping Masks (optional)

This step isn't in my daily routine but just in my nightly routine about every two weeks or maybe once per week.
It's a step meant to seal everything in the skin and if used sooner in the regime to add some skin tone evenness and/or plumpness.

7th step: Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a crucial part of the healing of my skin. It protects my skin from UV rays and thus it also prevents my PIH and PIE marks to grow bigger. Because of it, the skin tone of my skin is getting more even quicker. I know it can be a PITA to use and apply, but with the right sunscreen (chemical sunscreens work for me) everything is easier.

Currently, I'm working with a bunch of samples of sunscreens and the Eucerin CC cream with SPF 50.

Okay, this was my updated skincare routine and whew, it is quite something, isn't it?

Because I love seeing other people's skincare routines, let me know in the comments what do you use and how?
