November Favorites 2016
Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion
Full of highly nutritious active ingredients, the Nourishing Body Lotion immediately moisturizes your skin with a long-lasting effect so that it regains its softness and elasticity. The grape Polyphenols prevents premature ageing of the skin and ginkgo biloba activates micro-circulation. Your skin is firmer, radiant, protected and energized. Its creamy texture is very quickly absorbed to leave a delicately fragranced velvety sheen on your skin. For anyone looking for a nourishing and anti-oxidant treatment for the body.Massage the whole body, morning and evening, using circular motion.
I got this product at the Beautiful Bloggers Meet Up 2016 and I was really excited to try it out. I mean it's a brand that I've never tried anything from. This body lotion comes packaged with a pump dispenser which I really like - it makes the application so much easier! I like the fresh scent and how easily it gets absorbed into my skin. Of course, it's a pricey brand, but here and there we can spoil ourselves a little bit ;).
Le Couvent Des Minimes Everyday Deodorant
Inspired by the tradition of "Miracle Waters", beneficial recipes that were once distilled in convents, the Botanical Cologne of the Minimes Everyday Deodorant works to neutralize body odors while allowing skin to breathe. Thanks to its Original Recipe combining astringent Alum Stone with refreshing and purifying Essential Oils, its alcohol-free and aluminum chlorohydrate-free formula helps to combat the development of unpleasant smells and gently purify the skin.Skin is purified and delicately fragranced with a pleasant, fresh scent. Perspiration odors are efficiently reduced all day long.
A deodorant that smells like citruses and lasts a couple of hours on me. I mean that's not bad for an all natural deodorant, no?
The packaging is a glass bottle with a roll-on ball, at the top so it's easy to use. I like it because of the ease of use and the lovely scent. Plus when it stops smelling nice, I just don't start smelling bad. It's interesting, but I like it.
Etude House Proof 10 Eyeshadow Primer
Proof 10 Eye Primer supplies coverage to eyelids and around the eyes to enhance eye shadow color and intergrity for a longer lasting, Perfect 10 look.
A couple of years ago I swore by this stuff. Seriously, here's a post (UDPP vs Proof 10) that proves it. After the first packaging, I never repurchasing it instead I wanted to try different products. But sadly no one worked as great as this one did. I did love the Avon Eye Primer, but the formula is thicker and you have to be quick to blend it in or it will set as it is. When I ran out of the Avon primer, I got a new bottle of the Proof 10 by a friend and well, that surely made me remember why I loved it. But let me remind you - I have oily eyelids. So oily that when I wake up, they're already oily. Eyeshadows without an eye primer just don't last on me. But this little gem not only makes the colors stay for the whole day, but it keeps them true. It doesn't desaturate the colors, it doesn't make it hard to blend either. It's a very light formula that is pretty inexpensive (less than $8 for 10g).

A couple of years ago, I really liked the brand Jessica. I liked the colors, the bottle, I liked everything except the staying power. Their nail polishes wouldn't last a day on me. And at 10€ for a bottle, I just wasn't taking it. The resentment grew so much that I later gave away my whole collection and swore I won't buy another Jessica nail polish. No, no, no!
But at the Summer Mbeauty event, we got a small package with a bunch of Jessica items. One of them was this small size of the Brilliance top coat. Of course, me being me, I was feeling very vary of it. But I heard great things from fellow bloggers about the renewal of the brand and their formulas. So one use became two, three and so on until this topcoat became my go-to product.
Why? Because the formula is lovely which makes for an easy application, the drying time is awesome and the best thing is the staying power with the super glossy look. I'm a fan of glossy finishes and this one gives me life.
Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting Sponge
Dewy Highlight + ContourDesigned to help create shadows or highlight your favorite facial features. Use damp for a dewy glow or dry for a full coverage finish
- small side for precision highlighting
- large side for controlled contouring
6 Surfaces to complete your sculpt.
This is another product that surprised me. I loved my very first RT sponge which is their classic Miracle complexion sponge, which I talked about in my New in July pt 2. I loved that sponge, for how soft it is and how easy it makes to apply foundation. But I disliked how hard it is to wash completely and how long it takes to dry off.
That's why when I got this little pink sponge from Ličila.si I wanted to try it right away. And it surprised me heaps. It's extremely easy to hold and use and it's still very soft but has a much better firmness to it. But the best part is how easy it's to clean it. I just run it under tap water, add a bit of hand soap, rub it for 30 seconds and wash it off. And it's done. Easy! With the first sponge, I needed some serious voodoo to get all the stains out. But not here, no. The only downside is that there are some cracks on the "neck" already, but I don't mind since I am willing to repurchase it in the next couple of months.
Etude House Bubble Tea Black Tea Sleeping Pack
The bubble tea sleeping pack makes skin moisturized and elastic during the night with its compound of black tea gel and moisture capsule bubbles.
A bubble tea! And a sleeping pack! So darn cute! I talked in depth about this product in my Etude House Black Tea Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack and I still think it's brilliant. Even if I have combination skin I like to pamper myself from time to time. At first, I made a mistake of using sleeping packs daily and my skin was over moisturized. Can you believe it? I couldn't either until I ditched the daily use. Now I use it about once or twice per week and everything is fine. It's a little extra step towards nice and healthy skin.
Nivea Hairmilk All Around Care Shampoo
It's really hard finding any good information about this shampoo in English.
I got it as a PR product but since I was just running out of my regular shampoo I decided to try it out. I mean, why not, right? My hair is very thin and curly. It also gets oily after two days.
This shampoo has the regular Nivea scent (you know what I'm saying?) which is pleasant to me. I like to shampoo my hair twice to really wash it well. The biggest change I noticed was how beautiful my hair looked. It also seemed to have a bit of weight to it, which they normally never have.
My hair also needed 3 days before getting oily instead of the 2 days it needed before. But that was only for a month, then things went back to two days. But I am still a fan of this shampoo for the effect it had on my hair. Oh, and I used up my very first bottle of it!
Philips Sonicare Clean Care +
Removes up to 3 x more plaque than a manual toothbrush for a superior clean.
I heard a lot about these toothbrushes. Mostly amazing things. And all I knew was that I wanted to own one. But as long as my Dentodent (DM) electrical toothbrush worked, I had absolutely no reason to purchase a new one. Well, that one died a year after being purchased and since I didn't have the receipt for the warranty anymore, off it went ...
And one day while I was browsing electrical toothbrushes in Muller, I came across this Sonic toothbrush. It's a basic one with a sonic toothbrush head and the price was fantastic - 36€. I got it and loved every single moment of it since then. My teeth are cleaner (I use it at evenings, but not daily) and I feel more confident after I drink my coffee and tea. Plus I like the slightly angled brush head with which I can reach those hard to reach teeth at the back.
