Review: Geo Super Nudy Grey

Hi, ~<3!

I wanted to review these lenses, but I was always putting them off since I didn't know how would such lenses look on my green eyes. I mean I had a similar pair (Angel green) but green and I absolutely hated them!

I got them from MakuChu for review purposes.

But actually, these do look pretty nice.

LENS USAGE: UP TO 1 YEAR
SHELF LIFE: 3 YEARS
MANUFACTURER / ORIGIN: SOUTH KOREA
B.C.: 8.6mm
DIAMETER: 14.8mm
WATER CONTENT: 38%

The packaging (cute as always) - I love the vials.

On my eyes

Sadly I got the wrong presciption (.25 more than my actual prescription is!), but I still managed to see normally with them.
Of course, I took lots of cam whoring pictures with them - tho sadly my better camera is currently not with me :(.

Damn, I realized I do really hate my hair color right now. It's between my natural hair color (cold dark blonde) and the dyed one (what the f is that?). I need to fix that.

I had a bit of problem with inserting them (they are quite soft), but after they got in they were there to stay! And actually, they are pretty comfortable!

Enlargement: 8/10
They do have quite some enlarging effect. That's because of the huge black rim. These are not natural looking.

Color/Design: 5/10
Not even close to looking natural, but they are really opaque, so they show nicely on my light eyes. They would probably look better on dark eyes.

Comfort: 9/10
I am surprised. I had a couple of Geo lenses, but these are the most comfortable ones of them all. They got my thrust back because of them. So yes, even after some hours on the PC I can't say I am wearing lenses.

Overall:
I do not like the way they look, but I did get quite quickly used to them. I wouldn't mind wearing them for my daily chores. They are also super comfortable, which is always a great plus. But the design is really not my thing.

This product was sent to me by the company itself or its PR. For more information please do read my Disclosure PolicyMy reviews are ALWAYS honest.

EOTD: Magic Powers

Hi!

Yesterday I wanted to do some creative make up, since it's been a while .. :) I decided to use orange, red and purple colors to go with my grey lenses.

I used:
*ELF eye primer in sheer
*Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
*Sleek MakeUp Bad Girl palette
*Sleek MakeUp Good Girl palette

To be honest, this make up was a mess. I mean I applied way too much pixie epoxy and that means it was all greasy for a while. Well it was all greasy, period.

But The effect was pretty, that's why I decided to share it with you all.

How do you like it? ^^

Pregnancy From Week 16 to 21

Sooo...  it's been a while, hasn't it?

Week 16:
The nausea was gone, but somehow not completely. Truth to be told everyone said that after the first trimester you have plenty of energy left. Practically, that you have an energy boost. LOL, my ass!
At this point started the period when I felt carefree (well not exactly since I then quit my job), because I didn't feel pregnant. So I was feeling OK. I think :P. I also got my doctor appointment and she checked the beat of the heart of my baby. So far it was fine. She also said that if the baby will still be so small, that we'll move labour day.

Week 17:
This is when the exhaustion kicked in. I woke up and after 3 hours I was already dead tired. Really??
I couldn't do a sh**, I lost my appetite (not 100% but enough) and I disliked this stake with my whole heart. Doctor told me that if the exhaustion will continue, she'll send me to a test.. :o

Week 18:
My tummy started growing. No really, it grew almost overnight. I was shocked! I didn't expect a big tummy until I was like 6 months pregnant. But with clothes I could still cover it (not that I want to).
So far nothing special, the exhaustion is slowly going away.

Week 19:
I started panicking. I still didn't feel the kicking of my baby and it drove me nuts. I got all depressed at the thought that he may not be alive anymore. I also got some severe abdominal cramps. And in the lower areas too. Really unpleasant.

Week 20:
I saw my baby! My dear was with me and we learned that it's a HE. Well it's not 100%, but I feel like it's a he from the beginning so I do think he is a he :P. Not that it matters, since we have names for both genders.
My belly is growing like mad, I can hardly get off the bed alone (well alright it's not THAT terrible), my back hurts if I sit/stand too much. I started sweating like a pig, and it's winter outside. Also one day I got terrible food cravings. The kitchen was almost with no food (except pasta, which I hated the first trimester) and I wanted wanted wanted food (and I was quite broke, yes!). I got some pizza from my roommate and an apple helped a lot. I mean that food craving was insane. I ate like 10 times I eat normally!!
Oh the baby started kicking. It was in the end of week 19. It got me off guard and I was shocked. The feeling is.. well like your intestines are moving. Nothing too unpleasant (unless he kicks the bowel). Also the baby is turned with the head down, tho he still has lots of place to move. Plus the baby is growing nicely!

Week 21:
I cleaned my wardrobe, since I couldn't fit in 3/4 of my clothes. Yes, even my pretty clothes. This leaves me with a few pieces and I am wondering if I should get something new (I do still have quite a lot of clothes). Anyway, the baby is super alive and kicking, and even when I got sick (for the weekend from all the stress) he was acting nicely. :)
Now it's supposed to be the time when weight goes up rapidly (so far I've gained about 6kg, I am not really sure).

I don't understand why no one told me that being pregnant is no fun. Everyone (and everything I read until I actually got pregnant) told me that being pregnant is FUN. Well it's not. You have cramps, your back hurts, your legs hurt, sometimes you can't sleep just because you can't, other times you have weird food cravings, then there's the nausea and so on...

Oh yes, I am complaining. A lot. People say but you're pregnant, you can eat everything and as much as you want! Well WRONG. You should eat healthy and be careful about your weight. Junk food is a no no (even if I loved it the first three months). Hmm what else? The acne. Here nothing helps. And Oh the baby kicks. YES it is a bond with your baby, YES they are lovely. But NO, it's no fun when he kicks somewhere it hurts like a b...  And later the rib cracking kicks, yay.. can't wait to get to those :P.

I do not believe the ladies who say they love being pregnant. Then it just means they didn't expect even 1/3 or the pregnancy problems or they forgot all of them.

So it's no fun, and even if I'm only at week 21, I can't wait to hold my baby in my arms and get over with this pregnancy.

And no, this doesn't mean I'm a bad person or that I will be a bad mother. Seriously who would like being sick for three months and exhausted the next one and so on?
;)

Next time I will post some photos of my belly (since I didn't get any ultrasound pictures yet). And some pictures of me, if I can  find any (from the start of my pregnancy till now).

So long for now <3.

Review: Paula's Choice 2%BHA Acid Face Lotion

Hi!

I got this product from Ars Cosmetica  for review purposes, about two months ago. I used it for a bit more than one month.

Since I'm pregnant my skin has caused me more troubles than when I was not. My hormones are up in the sky, which means quite many breakouts. Well not most of the time, but enough that it is annoying.

That's why I was asked to test this product. It's safe for pregnant ladies (because it contains only 2% of  Salicylic Acid) and it's meant for combination to oily skin.

Well, I'm supposed to have combination skin, but during winter time it's more on the dry/normal side.
That's why this lotion dried my skin a bit.

The packaging is simple (tho they redesigned the white line, a month or so ago), the cap makes it super easy and clean to use. So the packaging is gorgeously done and travel-friendly (tho plain).

The cream has a thicker white consistency. The scent is OK, nothing too extraordinary.

You need to blend it in since it leaves white marks behind. Nothing a nice application couldn't help.

So I was using this for a month and maybe a bit more. I used it twice a day as recommended, but after two weeks my skin became irritated and red. I decided to stop using it for one week and then continue with using it only once a day. This way it helped my problematic areas (mostly my cheeks) and it didn't irritate my skin (which obviously is sensitive to the cold weather and the main ingredient).

The before and after shot:

It may not seem like much has happened, but truth to be told it did clean up my skin quite a lot. Sadly my hormones are going crazy, so the acne reappeared in some random (for me, for them it probably made sense) patterns.

Which means; after my skin cleared up and it was all pretty and smooth - well the next day I had like 5 huge zits and not to mention my back. It was a disaster. But then again... they went away and they reappeared again after some time.

Pros:
+ It did clean up my skin
+ Travel-friendly package
+ Easy to use

Cons:
- My skin itched on some areas when I applied it
- After two weeks my skin got irritated (and lots of acne appeared)
- Pricey

Price: 2/5 ☻☻ ( I think it was about 25€)
Rating:  3/5 ☻☻☻

Overall:
If you have acne problems and don't want to try anything too dramatic, then I recommend this product. Even if you are pregnant, but in this case maybe some jojoba oil will do the same effect since it's all hormones and nothing else. I liked the effect it gave to my skin, but that's it. I am not too thrilled about it and if I had the chance I wouldn't repurchase it.

NOTD: Essence Flamingo Rose (SYF)

Since I am quite sick (which is not fun at all), I will post my current nails of the day.

I saw this nail polish on Nihrida's blog and from then on, I had to have it. When I bought it, I realized that it will not look exactly the same as on her nails, since our skin tone is quite different (If I am not mistaken, she has olive undertone?).

But anyway, I was happy with my purchase only when I applied the polish.

The application was fine, nothing really extraordinary. The formula is thicker, and it applies like your regular pastel nail polish (tho it really isn't a pastel). The drying time was fascinating (for an Essence nail polish, that's it). I needed two coats for 100% opacity. I could go with just 1 if I was careful enough, but better be safe than sorry.

I think this nail polish will do as a great base for nail art. Sadly it already chipped a bit on my main hand, but only on my thumb nail (after 2 days). It is nothing really visible, but it does bother me.

Other than that, the nail polish is just perfect!

Do you wear nail polishes that are strictly designed for toes on your hands? If no, why not?

NOTD: Essence Candyction (Crazy Good Times)

Hi!

I decided to shorten my nails, because they were getting in the way of my daily tasks. Plus I wanted them super cute and chubby, aka short.

Anyway I went with an interesting shade, called Candyction (I keep forgetting the name) from the Crazy Good Times TE. It's one of the three nail polishes I wanted from this collection, and one of the two I actually own.

On the swatches it looks red, but under artificial lights it looks 100% orange. So I really was confused about that. But everything got clearer today when I looked at my nails when I was outside.

It's red with strong orange undertone. The application was simple (somewhere I read that it is terrible), I needed two coats, but one could also do.

There are flakes inside the polish, but on the nails they are hardly visible. :(

Under artificial light. It's 100% orange!

I tried to put the polish next to a red (bourjois #10), but it didn't come out as expected.

I will 'pimp' the manicure in the following days. Valentine themed, but nothing too cute ;).

Haul: Previous months till now

Hi!

I hope everyone is doing okay and that the recent snow, didn't trouble you at all.

In the past couple of months I didn't really buy much make up, because well.. - I don't need it since I have still a pretty decent stock. And because I can't afford to buy things I don't need :P.

If we don't count a couple of nail polishes, shower gels, body creams and shampoo this is everything I bought in the last few months.

My very first catrice items! Skin primer and 5 concealers set.

I ran out of my BB cream, and since I am not a big fan of the foundation I have, I decided to get a new one. My 2nd favorite BB cream ever. Plus I got an extra freebie! ;) I ordered it from Ebay.

My e.l.f. haul. I read many great reviews about the face primer, so I wanted it for a very long time. And when they got the no shipping offer, I went for it. :).
I also got the spraying mist, cream blush (I wanted a regular one, but it was sold out) and eyelid primer in sheer.

I thought the cream blushes were smaller, since I read a whining review on how little product there is inside. Well the packaging is huge, but there's quite a lot of product too!

Swatch. The blush is heavily applied.

Essence winter LE had creams. I am currently using the strawberry cupcake cream. It smells yummy!

I don't remember all the nail polishes I got, but here is the last one.

Dear readers, I have a question for you all.
Do you buy stuff you know you probably won't use, or you buy one the stuff you need?

NOTD: Catrice Heavy Metallilac

This nail polish was love at first sight. I saw it in our local (lol ok, not really - in BTC) Muller and I fell in love right away.

A while ago I was searching for the perfect violet nail polish, but I couldn't find it. I was super angry and disappointed. But now I finally found it.

It's absolutely perfect, plus the application is a dream. The new formula has a new brush which is thicker and bigger, but it makes the application easier.

I needed two coats, and the formula is well genius. It dries quickly, it's easy to apply and it has the right consistency.

It is a dream come true <3.

The color varies from cold purple to warm purple, depending on the light.

And the brush! It's a bit of a crappy picture, but oh well.. I hope you can see it well enough.

If you can get this polish, I do recommend it! It's divine, and hopefully the other new catrice polishes have the same formula. Well hopefully!
